Parentheses and free software, oh my! My foray into the Guix system was very interesting to say the least. Luckily, my knowledge from Nix partially carried over, so I was familiar with concepts like derivations, profiles, dev shells, and the like. What I was not familiar with was IRC and the linux-libre kernel.
Technically, I’ve only used the Guix system in a VM. However, I used/use Guix to create development environments much like how I used to with Nix flakes. However, there are still some flakes I can’t currently replace. I’m missing the arduino-cli, the neocities-cli, and a few other things.
